How Can pain Below The Armpit Be Treated?

My mom was stung by several wasps several weeks ago.Everything seemed ok for a few weeks. Now she has pain under the arm pit and also along the top of the inner arm.Her clothes even hurt when touching the area.Might this be from the wasp stings, like a infection or fungas? She is 91 but has been doing well.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

She will need to have an examination of the area to better determine the cause. The doctor might find enlarged lymphodes or lumps in the armpit or may find redness and swelling which may indicate infection.
According to the finding the doctor will decide on the possible cause and proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
